While searching in vain for an old Motor Trend road test of the Jeepster Commando, I stumbled upon this oddity.
https://www.hemmings.com/magazine/mus/2005/12/Jeep-Builds-a-Muscle-Car—-1970-XJ-001/1281715.html
Shortly before Kaiser gave up the ghost, Jeep designed this car which AMC (probably wisely) decided not to pursue.

I bet you could remake that on a chopped up Eagle chassis, or maybe a gremlin
with the dune buggy market being as big as it was at the time I bet they would have sold a few.

It would certainly turn heads at any car show. I know a fabricator who could do it in his sleep, if only I had the cash lying around.

This goes to show that some concepts need to die.

Pretty sure I drew that car in high school. Not gonna lie, I’d rock that thing all day every day.

ikr, muscle cars can’t handle on pavement anyways, so why not make it able to go offroad?

I can see why I should hate this, but honestly, I don’t hate this.

I’d love to take it for a spin. And as a summer run about? Sure.

Is this the entirety of it?
Based on the file name I’m guessing there’s more to it.

I think that is all of it, minus a “cover” page that’s just a photo with a blurb.

Cool, thanks again.
